1/24 Scale AMT/ERTL 1996 Chevrolet C-3500 DuallyI got online through Ebay this pre-built kit. I know there is no fun in building a pre-built but I thought it would be a neat truck to own. Its main purpose is to be a tow vehicle for my 36-foot Galaxie tag-along racecar trailer. This is not a kit, and came pre-built so there is no motor, and not much detail, there was more than I had expected. After looking the truck over, I then realized that it was nothing more than AMT/ERTL's Snapfast Plus Chevy C-3500 Street Machine kit. The cool part was that I had this kit in my parts box. Everything was there except for the windshield so I combined both kits to build a sweet trailer hauler. The first thing I did was to take apart both trucks. Once that was done, I took the front valance, the cowl induction hood, rear Tonneau cover and installed them on the promo model. Once this was done, I primered and painted the truck in bright red. The next step was to lower the truck just enough to remove the gap between the wheels and the fender. This was an easy task and took only a few minutes. The truck now sits lower and has a new sportier look that will definitely look good pulling the racecar trailer. |

1/24th Scale AMT/ERTL Chevrolet S-10 ExtremeI built this model while I was going through Navy schooling. This was my first attempt at fine detailing a model but as you can see it did not turn out very well. It has some parts that are missing have come off and need to be reinstalled. I am actually considering a rebuild of this model. |

1/25 Scale AMT/ERTL 1993 Ford F-150 XLTAs with 72 GMC I built this truck in my early days of modeling. Not much time or detail went into it that's for sure. |

1/25 Scale AMT/ERTL 1972 GMC StepsideI started this model while I was going through my Navy school. There is still a lot that needs to be done to this truck and actually needs to be rebuilt. The kit is not a bad one and actually is good to do some serious detailing with. When I return home, I will try to start to repair this truck. |

1/24th Scale AMT/ERTL Proshop Series 1976 Chevrolet Caprice ClassicThe Caprice Classic currently has been put on hold for now until I get caught up with my other under construction models. As soon as that happens you should see some progress with this one. The engine had to be removed to allow for the Pegasus Hobbies Pro Hopper system. The exterior of the car is primered and awaiting the decision for its final color. As to what the final color will be, stay tuned for a poll on Automotiveforums.com so you can help decide on a color. The kit wheels were swapped for a set of these 24" chromies, but after looking at the size of these wheels, and trying to install them with the Pro Hopper system another set of wheels were needed. Well I installed a nice set of 20" wheels from Hoppin Hydro's. Maybe these will look a little more realistic than the huge tires that are on it now. The interior color has yet to be determined, so for now the interior of the Caprice is all black and will be flocked eventually. I will add some more detail once I get back to this project. 1/25 Scale AMT/ERTL Bigfoot
The air intake scoop halves have no alignment pins so I had to align the assembly from the back. Doing this resulted in the front of the top half hanging off a bit. So I shaved the piece down even with the bottom half. The bad part about this was the chrome is now gone leaving a mix match front. After doing some research I found that the newer trucks use a carbon fiber intake scoop so I think I may cover this one with some c/f solving my problem. I am in the process of getting some aftermarket parts from The Model Car Garage, Gibson Engines, and Detail Master so I can put some detail into this monster. The exterior of the truck has been covered in Tamiya's TS19 Metallic Blue. |

1/25 Scale AMT/ERTL Construction Series Ford Louisville Short HaulerAs I had said before, that I had no particular preference when it comes to models. I came upon this model while browsing through an online hobby shop and thought it would be neat to build. My plan for this truck is to use it in my garage diorama delivering parts from Scale Auto Style. I will be putting Scale Auto Style logo's on the sides to represent the shop. The engine is box stock. I have done very little detail to it. I asked the owner of Scale Auto Style what color his delivery trucks would be if he had some. He recommended the color that he painted his Honda Integra Type R which was Tamiya's TS-32 Haze Grey. So the cab is painted Tamiya's Haze Grey. The box is painted in Tamiya's TS-17 Gloss Aluminum. The interior is stock for the most part. It is painted in Modelers Tan Interior paint. The suspension is stock. |

1/25 Scale AMT/ERTL Ford SnowplowAgain I am an all around modeler with no particular presence. I saw this kit on Ebay and I remember seeing it when I was younger. i had always wanted to build this kit so when I found it, I had to get it to build it. I have built the engine stock. I covered the truck in Tamiya's TS-12 Orange. I was thinking of doing up in my home state colors but could not find any reference pictures so I went with the box color. I covered the interior i Modelers tan. I built the suspension box stock. |

1/25 Scale AMT/ERTL 1965 Chevelle Station WagonI am a big fan of the Chevelle so when I came across this kit on Ebay I just had to get it. I then noticed that it would look right at home on my Revell Race Car Trailer. I have already started to work on the engine and will be adding lots of detail. The car is currently in primer. I have yet to decide on a color for it. Not much is going on in the inside. No modifications here. All stock. |
